VP launches health app for android and iphone

App PR is an exceedingly competitive area. Newspapers and magazines have limited space to write about apps and they are bombarded with information about new app launches on a daily basis. While journalists are generally happy to write about new products and services, apps are a far less popular source of news because of the sheer volume launched each and every day. When VP was tasked with launching the iphone and android app by the British Osteopathic Association we secured coverage in the Daily Record, Hello, Natural Health and Sainsburys magazine not to mention countless other regional publications and blogs.

VP launches newly built care home with ITV publicity

When Cambian Healthcare asked VP to announce it had combined its operation with Care Aspirations, which would operate under the name Cambian Healthcare, VP used its first and newly built care home as a hook to grab media attention. Prior to the opening of Delfyn Lodge, a mental health unit for women, VP contacted local newspaper, online and broadcast media as well as important trade publications and journals. This resulted in coverage in Care Management Matters, Healthcare Market News, local coverage in a number of weekly publications and substantial coverage in daily newspaper the East Anglian Daily Times. The campaign peaked with a pre-recorded, on location broadcast feature by ITV Wales which lasted more than two minutes and was repeated throughout the day and online. ITV and BBC online both ran news stories about the new home.

Our core activity supports Siemens smart infrastructure focusing on intelligently connecting energy systems, buildings and industries, enhancing Lives and improving efficiency and sustainability. In addition, incorporating projects around Smart Cities, EV, Digital Airports, IoT, AI, Ports, University Campuses and Smart Manufacturing.

The Siemens EV strategy encompasses charging infrastructure for bus depots and hauliers and in 2020 they launched the UK’s first Electric Avenue, in Warwick Avenue in London. Siemens has developed breakthrough technologies such as managed credit to provide compelling fourth payment option for energy suppliers. As well as ddomestic half hourly data collection solution to provide energy suppliers with complete transparency about the electricity usage of their customers.

The VoIP pioneer, Audicodes came to us with a very ‘esoteric’ – how do we get the world interested in our Enterprise-Session Border Controllers (E-SBC)? To most E-SBC is just a bunch of letters but to big business it’s a device that stops someone hijacking your telephone system to make illegal calls or intercept your messages.

‘Phone phreakers’ were a phenomenon of the 80’s, a subculture of people who wreaked havoc with telephone systems. We took the idea and gave it a modern twist. The News of the World journalists hacking episode was firmly in the spotlight, so we were able to highlight the dangers of VoIP communications in a very modern way. We achieved coverage in UK, Germany and France.

VP started working for BroardGroup for their very first conference in 2004 and then subsequent conferences up until 2019. This involved managing international media outreach to support BroadGroup’s Datacloud conferences in the UK, Monaco, Singapore, Abu Dhabi, Mauritius, Hong Kong, Sweden, Norway and Ireland. Activities included generating media coverage, securing journalist attendance, profiling BroadGroup analysts, producing thought leadership content around the industry issues and regional reports and supporting sponsors. As well as helping with speaker acquisition, business contacts and staff attendance at selected conferences

Before being acquired, the Health Insurance Group (HIG) was wholly-owned by AXA PPP and advised on appropriate medical insurance for companies and individuals. The company wanted to create brand awareness in the relevant markets; healthcare, insurance, HR & personnel, business, consumer and national media. Focusing on SMEs and the issue of wellbeing in the workplace, VP created a number of campaigns and a varied programme of thought leadership that would cover everything from mental illness, general employee health, insuring employees abroad and maintaining employee engagement.  The PR activity developed in line with HIG’s expanding PMI services such as the introduction of employee health audits, a low-cost benefits portal as well as providing industry perspective on issues such as new government regulations (IPT).  This achieved coverage across target trade, HR and SME media as well as nationals and vertical publications.

In 2013 VP was contracted to act as the press office for the newly formed CHF Media Group, to launch their new children’s animated series – Pip Ahoy! and support associated toy launches and events. CHF was born out of the multi award winning animation house, Cosgrove Hall, famous for big brand children’s shows such as Danger Mouse, Wind in the Willows and Count Duckula. This led to VP representing the award-winning documentary maker, Glasshead, supporting their involvement in Bloodhound and educational programmes for C4 and Al Jazeera TV.
